Outstanding location! The studio we booked was the coziest place we've seen in Iceland. The owners have incredible taste. Also, freshly baked Icelandian bread is served for breakfast! Although the facility is run for several years it looks completely new. It was very quiet and the only sounds we heard were birds.

A beautiful guest house in a beautiful location with an amiable and attentive host! What a great find! Unfortunately we could only stay 1 night on our tour around Iceland, but it was enough to appreciate how special this place is! And we saw the aurora borealis for the first time there! Be prepared for a 6km drive along a rough track and a little peaceful isolation from the rest of the world......a great plus point for us. Very useful to be able to use the kitchen to prepare a meal. Thank you Valgeir for creating this place, for the nice breakfast and for the stimulating conversation!

The apartment was spacious and clean. We stayed only for one night, but we would have been very comfortable if we were to stay a longer time. The kitchen was well equipped with a microwave, coffee machine, and toaster. There was also a washing machine.

Tungulending Guesthouse is the best place to stay in Iceland if you appreciate a quiet peaceful time and have come for the Icelandic nature. It is a little remote. My daughter and I had a marvellous time there and the hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. For us, it was magic. In summer, when the owners offer coffee and tea, try the homemade chocolate cake.
