A recently renovated bed and breakfast, Akwaba Lodge offers accommodation in The Gap. Providing free Wifi, the property also has a private beach area, water sports facilities, and a terrace. Akwaba lodge is located at the middle of Isla Solarte about a 10 minute boat ride ($10/person) from Bocas del Toro. It is on a hill overlooking the water and Isla Bastimentos Breakfast is included in your stay. Lunch dinner and beverages are available at a very reasonable price. The lodge is an eco style lodge surrounded by jungle. Though there are no hiking trails through the jungle you are serenaded by the sounds of birds. Kayaks, SUP and snorkeling equipment is available for your use. Your host and their children are wonderful and will do anything to make your stay a pleasant and wonderful experience. Things to know, the lodge is off the grid with good WiFi and does not have AC, but we were comfortable with our open windows and ceiling fan. The lodge accepts credit cards, but tours and water taxis are cash only so bring US dollars. Side trips to Red Frog Beach and Green Acres Chocolate are a must. Pack insect repellent and anti-itch cream.

Providing inner courtyard views, La Luciernaga Big Creek in Bocas Town features accommodations, a garden, and barbecue facilities. Host was great, apartment was clean, we used outside kitchen alot - no problem.

Set in Bluff Beach, 3.7 mi from Bocas Town, Oasis Bluff Beach features unobstructed views of the beach and ocean. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Amazing staff. Choy is the best and was always assisting with any question we had.

Hostal Hansi is in Bocas del Toro, 17 minutes' walk from El Istmito Beach. It is 164 feet from the docks. All rooms are private, some have a terrace, TV, air conditioning and hot water. The place was nice! The room was clean and comfortable, offering great value for the price. The staff truly went the extra mile with their friendliness, making the stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend it!

Providing garden views, Carmen's place in Bastimentos provides accommodations, a garden, a bar, and a shared lounge. Staying at Carmen’s was an absolute highlight of our trip! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like old friends into her home. The place is beautifully maintained, with comfortable rooms, a lovely dock, and a lush garden perfect for relaxing. The facilities are excellent, but what truly makes this place special is the warmth and hospitality of Carmen and Marcel. They went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed, always with such kindness and care. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and abundant—a perfect way to start the day. And in the evening, Carmen’s home-cooked dinners were a treat—she prepares the freshest fish of the day, and all the guests gather around the table to share a meal and great conversation. Carmen was incredibly helpful with everything, from tending to a blister on my foot to organizing day trips. This stay was more than just accommodation—it was a truly memorable experience. I can’t recommend it enough!

Santuarios del Mar features accommodations in Bocas Town. This beachfront property offers access to free Wifi and free private parking. Absolutely loved the stay and the staff is super helpful as well, cannot recommend it enough and will definitely be booking it again whenever I return to bocas!!!

Located on Bocas del Toro, Barrbra BnB Over The Sea is a 2 story house built directly over the sea. The house includes 4 rooms on the 2nd floor. BarrBra is a very special place - Marco, Hiyam and Rey are the kindest hosts and make you feel like coming home to family. The terrace on the water invites to relax and cuddle the cute dogs and cats living at BarrBra. The atmosphere is calming and our room was simply stunning with a huge private balcony where we would relax in hammocks and listen to the sea. Everything was super clean, breakfast was home-made and included with an extraordinary service. Thank you for the great experience and wish you all the best!

Mosana Reef Garden B&B is set in Bluff Beach, 3.1 mi from Bocas Town and 16 mi from Buena Vista. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Free WiFi is available and free private parking is available on site.... Right on the sea, you go to sleep to the noise of the surf. Nadia and Salvatore are great hosts. Food is excellent. There are not many places to stay directly on the sea but this is one of them. Don't miss out.
