It was our first visit to the Gold Coast (Broad Beach) area. We were awestruck by the endless clean beaches and wonderful recreational pathways that followed the shoreline. We enjoyed perfect weather every day and felt secure venturing into the surf in areas that were supervised by the life saving patrols located along the beach.
In awe of the ocean, the waves, tides, sandy beaches lovely to walk or laze on, shells and the sounds of water, birds and happy people. Soaking up the sun with my 50+ sunscreen on, and the warmth. Swimming in 25 degree water, even I can just dive into that every day...
Just walking along the long, broad golden sand beach was beautiful. Watching the surf break out from shore, there are lifeguard stations so swimming is possible. The water is clear and clean!
We like to stay away from the busy, commercial, touristy areas of the Gold Coast so we always stay at Palm Beach or Coolangatta. We love the relaxed atmosphere and the gorgeous colours, sounds and smells of Gold Coast's pristine ocean / beaches.
the beach here changes your mood and your spirit comes alive ,as i was travelling from pakistan where there is chaos in the air...gold coast was the best escape indeed...
Loads of room, long beaches to walk along, beautiful headlands to watch surfers, dolphins and beach activities, cleanliness, options to suit the weather for a swim.
Beautiful clean beaches with white sand. Crystal clean water to swim in. See the dolphins, and if the time of year is right, you will see whales (which we did).
The beaches are beautiful and so close to everything just a beautiful place to be. In NZ we have amazing beaches but the winter temperatures are a+ for us.
Opportunity to feel the sand between my toes, the cool water lap at my ankles, and see a flock of pelicans swarm around a local who was feeding them fish.
