Residence Kastanienbaum is a spacious one bedroom flat in a quiet neighbourhood ten minutes by car/bus from Lucerne. Both the bedroom and living room have a wonderful lake view (although we had pretty foggy weather all week). The kitchen is really well equipped and the welcome goodies are really tasty and much appreciated. There are two bathrooms: one with a bathtub, sink and washing machine/drier; the other with toilet, sink and shower. The extra bed in the living room was super comfortable as well. We stayed for a week in January and felt right at home. The Lucerne visitors card was very handy to take public transport to the shops and to visit Lucerne.

When I realized that I would have to leave before breakfast opened at 8am the staff was so kind to prepare me a delicious calzone plus croissant and juice in the early morning which was perfect!
