Things to do Puerto Rico

Maspalomas Dunes and the Lighthouse
Directly east of Maspalomas and spanning the southern tip of Gran Canaria, these expansive dunes have been protected as a nature reserve since 1897. With four kilometres of coastline, its rich golden sands are a haven for tourists throughout the year. There’s no better place to view this desert paradise than from the top of the Maspalomas Lighthouse, which was built in 1890.
Amadores Beach
Sparkling waters bob against the shores of Amadores’ apartment-lined shores. Its inviting, crystal-clear seas are sheltered in a bay, making them a prime chunk of coastline for sunbathing, paddling or splash-filled water sports. There’s plenty to do off the beach, with a range of shops, bars, cafés and restaurants adding flavour to this bustling seaside spot.
GüiGüi Beach
The great thing about this beach paradise is that it’s a little tricky to reach. Accessible only by boat or a winding 5 km-long trail, you’ll really earn your spot on these deserted sands. The smallest section, Güi Güi Chico, is just 350 metres long. A laid-back vibe, volcanic sands and high-reaching cliffs await, but be aware of high tides. asked travellers...

The beach means different things to different people. What did the beach in Puerto Rico mean to you?

Amadores beach is large with white sand, great swimming, a lot of good restaurants along the beach
Beach is beautiful however my preference was ammodores beach , very clean lots of sun loungers and beachside bars and resurants to enjoy watching the sunset overlooking the beach. Perfect. Ciao ciao, amodores grill a must. Chinese buffet cheap and fresh ideal for hungry growing teens all you can eat for €7.90 including all steak fish seafood chicken cooked at request no hidden cost .. Be aware the Chinese shops selling drinks crisps ect extortion it's cheaper sitting down to lunch or pizza takeaway on the beach , 1 bottle of fanta , 1 bag of crisps €7.. Otherwise everything lovely ,safe swimming. Much nicer than Puerto Rico beach.
Large, traditional style, lots of activity, marina, boats, lovely apartments located all around.
Be careful of cheap pint prises your partners drink might well make up for it.
The beach was close to walk to and very clean
sun and bathing and relacsing
relaxation, great sunbathing

Puerto Rico highlights

Puerto Rico has so many glorious beaches that it's almost unfair. For families, you can't beat Luquillo Beach, with crystal clear waters to cool off after topping up your tan. To soak up the rays in privacy, try Las Paldas and La Jungla on a weekday — you'll most likely have this slice of paradise all to yourself!
