The best thing is the staff. They're great, always in good spirits and ready with a smile, a joke, and a tall tale. Always ready to help your stay more comfortable - they supplied some extra bedding to this fussy old guy ( me ), and loaned me a couple of pieces of kitchen equipment. I stayed 21 days, and was given the self-contained unit, with three rooms ( bedroom, bathroom/toilet, kicthen/lounge ), so that was a huge bonus. I loved the nearby ( 2 minutes walk ) beach, and swam daily. The breakfasts on offer are hearty. A free Sunday lunch with some real Fijian food cooked by ace chefs. And the other guests were an interesting crew.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Newtown Beach Bed & Bath, and I can confidently say it was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for my entire stay. Upon landing early at the airport, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel had my room ready and my host, Faheem, offered to pick me up from the airport for a very reasonable price. The ride to the hotel was smooth, and Faheem took the time to share some local insights and recommendations, making me feel right at home. Unfortunately, my travel plans took an unexpected turn when my flight was rescheduled. I was feeling quite stressed about the situation, but Faheem went above and beyond to assist me navigate the airline's customer service but also came with me to the airport to see if some of his former colleagues at the airline could help me. His patience and support were truly invaluable, and I can't thank him enough for his kindness. The hotel itself is a gem. It is in a fantastic location. My room was nice and equipped with all the amenities one could ask for. Overall, my stay at Newtown Beach Bed & Bath was exceptional, largely thanks to the outstanding service provided by Faheem. If you're looking for a hotel that combines comfort, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend Newtown Beach Bed & Bath. I will definitely be returning on my next visit! Thank you!

Friendly, easy going staff, perfect spot on the beach to relax, swim or laze in the hammocks with a book until sunset. Not far from the port for dinner and drinks (around $30fjd). Nightly entertainment was lots of fun and the breakfast was great value for money. We stayed in the main building rather than the beach huts, and whilst we didn't care much for the free WiFi, it was a great connecting from our room which was a bonus.

It was located right on the beach front with a beautiful view of the ocean from our room. There is a supermarket a short walk up the road if you want to get bottle water or beers (there’s a mini fridge in your room!!). The food and drinks were reasonably priced and the service was always very quick and friendly.

The location is fantastic. You're right on the beach, unlike many other resorts in Denerau. The guests often go for day trips, so when you choose to spend the day at the resort it's quiet and relaxing. The salt water pools are awesome with plenty of areas for sunbathing, and if that doesn't suit then you can choose from a hammock or cabana beside the sea (or outside your ocean front Bure!)

It’s a good budget stay for 1 - 2 nights, for overnight stays prior to leaving for the islands/before an early flight, or as a base for day trips. The close proximity to the airport and Port Denarau are great. The beachfront bure had a lovely view of the ocean and palm trees, especially during sunrise and sunset. Dinner was okay, we enjoyed the live cooking on Friday where you pick your own meat/veggies/rice/noodles and the chef cooks it in front of you.

It was right on the beach so gorgeous place to walk and relax; the sunset was beautiful; the dinner at the hotel and the evening program were both great. We wished we had more time there.

lovely efficient staff. this exceeded my expectations as the price was great for a beachfront room. I knew it was going to be noisy as this place has a bit of a backpackery vibe and on night one the music went till 3am however I can sleep through most things. the view and location right on the beach made up for it. Clean and well maintained.
