Hotels That Guests Love in Lynton
  • Having travelled past The Blue Ball for many years we finally decided to stay here. We were not disappointed! From the moment we entered we were greeted with warmth and friendliness. Toileteries replenished every day. Food was very good and very filling! The steak and ale pie is not for the faint hearted! Perfect location for walking. Wonderful.

  • This is our favourite place to stay to truly relax- a little old-fashioned and familiar, comfortable, with excellent food and wine and beer and in a truly stunning location just a short distance from the stunning South West coastal path. . Staff and guests are truly dog- friendly and all guests and their pets are made truly welcome.

  • Comfortable and clean room and all the necessary facilities. Gorgeous food served each evening and an excellent breakfast. Perfect location for long walks along the river, coast paths and Exmoor. Would recommend to anyone looking for peace and quiet and somewhere to enjoy beautiful walks.

  • This was our second stay here, we love walking and this was in a perfect location to hop on the coastal path, it is in a great location in Lynton. We found that the hotel was pleasant enough and although it is dated, we found the rooms clean and ideal for our stay. Breakfast was good.

  • Lovely comfortable room with a view, fantastic food, super friendly and helpful staff. Lots of local knowledge, very helpful and warm and friendly, would highly recommend if visiting the area. Great place to stop for walking routes, scenery, and also only 20 minutes from the voted for best beach in the UK 2 years running (Woolacombe). Seriously stay here it's awesome!

Things to Do in Lynton

Exmoor National Park
Covering a sizable stretch of North Devon and Somerset, this area of natural moorland is a walker’s paradise. Wild ponies graze on heathland covered with blooming heather in the heart of Exmoor National Park. Over in Lynton, green meadows make way for dramatic rock formations and sea-swept cliffs and coves.
Valley of Rocks
Stones balance on top of tall pinnacles in Exmoor’s Valley of Rocks, the jewel of the North Devon coast. This lush green vale plunges from a viewpoint high above the Bristol Channel to the dramatic cliffs and crags at Lynton. Don’t be fooled by the frolicking wild goats though – us humans should take it slow and tread carefully on the slippery ground!
Lynmouth Pier
Pretty as a picture, the seaside village of Lynmouth is the perfect setting for waterfront walks. When the weather’s nice, wander down to the harbor through the peaceful village, or make your way down Lynmouth pier to the Rhenish tower, a small stone stronghold that gazes out across the bay.
