It is a beautiful spot. We arrived only a week and a bit after the flash flooding and it was really sobering to see the damage to the town. Laia is wonderful and her hospitality is outstanding. The most comfortable beds and pillows in our two weeks in Crete and the #1 shower.

The amazing location can already be seen in pictures. But the warmth and level of care the host provided can only be experienced. Maria is an excelent host, she welcomed us with local products and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We will definitely return and stay here in our future holidays in Crete. Highly recommend this accommodation!

The whole apartment with a small balcony that has a side view to the sea. It has everything you may need, including a great kitchen even with a selection of spices. Feels like home. There's a small sitting area outside. The sandy beach is a minute's walk from the place, it's small (somewhat crowded during the day) with a great view and lots of fish in the warm calm water. There aren't any stores or restaurants in Mades (a hotel bar at the beach and a mini market 10 minutes away), so come prepared. The host is extremely kind and helpful, very communicative - thanks again!

My partner and I stayed at Peninsula Resort & Spa for three nights to celebrate our 5-year anniversary — also his first trip abroad — and it truly exceeded our expectations. We arrived early and, after a short wait, were welcomed with an early check-in and a beautiful surprise: an upgrade to a private pool room decorated with rose petals. It was such a thoughtful touch and made our stay feel extra special. The hotel is large and beautifully designed, with stunning views from almost every corner. It was very clean in all areas — rooms, shared spaces, and restaurants — and we found the maps and signage really helpful to navigate the grounds. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. Unfortunately, due to bad weather, we couldn’t enjoy the private pool, but sitting on our porch and admiring the breathtaking view more than made up for it. The food was a highlight — a large variety of Greek and international dishes, always fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. I never missed a meal! The open bars had a wide selection of drinks and cocktails, which we enjoyed, even if nothing particularly stood out. We also visited the spa, and my partner loved his massage. Sadly, it was fully booked afterward (probably due to the rainy weather), so we couldn’t enjoy more treatments. The laundry service was a bit pricey but very professional and helpful. We used the hotel shuttle to Heraklion one day for a shopping trip — just €4 each way, about an hour ride with lovely views. The beaches at the resort were gorgeous, even under cloudy skies. While we didn’t take part in hotel activities, we appreciated the range of options available. We think the resort is a great fit for all types of travelers — couples, families, and groups. As a couple, we especially enjoyed the romantic atmosphere. Check-out was simple, and getting to the airport from Heraklion was easy. Overall, it was a wonderful stay. Super friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food quality and choices on the all inclusive program. Beautiful location with plenty options for pool swimming, including specific children swimming pools and slides, and private beach with really good facilities and calm water to swim.

I really have to say, I'm travaling a lot (4-6 times per year to the different Countrys-Places) and in the most of the time, the hotels doesn't look or fullfil the expectations. Always its something, which gives you the feeling, that the description or pictures are not 100% right or matching with the real situation. That's why I said, now I will write a review, because they really deserved that at all! From the reception employees till to the cleaning ladies! When we arrived, we stood in the front of the new building. We get a friendly welcome, nice room and walked to the beach. I walked around and checked the pool areas and dine opportunities. I really was surprised that everything looked same like pictures and descrition. I like that is a hotel size between Boutique Hotel and grand Resort. If you are looking for a Hotel with good chill opportunities and good food, thats your place. We loved the food (try the Gyros Chicken and Mussels which are cooked in Uzo), furnishing style, pool and beach area, employees (Eleni by the Pool area, very friendly women) and the vibes of all of them😀 You are really close to Heraklion City, 10min by taxi around 15Euro per way and 20min to the airport around 30Euro per way. Spa Massage first 10min are for free, we booked 30min more (40min) was also really good. The a la Carte restaurant was a dream of location and ambience, also food with ***** level. We were there for 3 nights and I wished we can stay longer, so that means....For sure I will come back again! 🥰

It was very cozy place. Location was great, right in front of the beach. Our room had an amazing sea view. Staff were super friendly and nice. Food at the restaurant was delicious. Overall, we had a fantastic vacation ^^

The staff is super friendly and is always ready to help. The location is really excellent, the rooms are modern and big enough. The cleaning staff is very friendly and does an excellent job as well. The breakfast is delicious and there is a lot of variety.
