Hotels That Guests Love in Lembongan
The Beach Shack

“The beach shack clearly exceeded our expectation. The view, the pool, the beach access, and the service were amazing! Better than in photos honestly. The place is really cozy. We had an amazing house manager, Kadek, who cooks the best omellette (seriously). We had lunch and dinner at the Sandy Bay Beach Club next door as well and their food were really good. It was our first experience at Nusa Lembongan and we can’t wait to be back again. Thanks again The Beach Shack for being a super host and for making our girls weekend a memorable one! :)”

Seaside Huts Lembongan

“A small establishment right on Tamarind Beach. The owners of the property are always on site to give advise and organise trips etc. and very helpful and easy to deal with. The rooms are spacious, if not a little dark at night. Gorgeous pool right on our doorstep. There are now 4 more bungalows at the back of the property not just the 3 on the seaside. Overall a great place to stay right on the beach. Slept beautifully with the sound of the waves crashing. Good value for money.”

Twilight Lembongan

“I traveled to ceningan with two other friends and we were very pleased with the service. Staff was very friendly and reliable. They picked us up from the bridge at ceningan and dropped us back of at the end of our stay. Rooms are in cute bungalows which are very simple, don't expect luxury. Beautiful sunset view from the hotel pool and beach access. We did not get a chance to try the restaurant but overall experience was good, the previous reviews were very helpful.”

Things to Do in Lembongan

Crystal Bay
Crystal Bay is a snorkeling paradise. Nestled between the neighboring islands of Ceningan and Penida, its beach is home to a pristine coral reef untouched by destructive fishing practices. The clear turquoise waters offer great visibility, letting you see as far down as 130 feet. Keep your eyes peeled for curious characters like the ocean sunfish!
The Wall
Running off the coast of neighboring Ceningan island, this deep channel is home to a vertical ridge of coral that stretches down to a depth of 600 feet. Strong currents swirl around these waters, so previous snorkeling experience is a must. If you can take on the challenge, you’ll see tons of tropical species, from red-tooth triggerfish to neon-striped nudibranchs.
Mangrove Point
Thanks to the shelter provided by thick mangrove forests, Lembongan island’s pretty northeast coastline features a vibrant coral reef. The area's underwater inhabitants include marble rays, pygmy seahorses and smaller sharks. The light current here is perfect for beginners, so you can snorkel straight out from the beach without any boats or instructors.
Coconut Bay
It's a short boat ride or a ten-minute trek from Jungut Batu to Coconut Bay, but the journey itself is nothing compared to this sandy slice of perfect Balinese beach. The rocky headlands that stretch to both sides of the cove make for some great snorkeling, with a huge variety of marine life to admire while you explore beneath the crystal-clear waves. Want to venture further out? Rent a boat and see what lives in deeper waters!
Mushroom Beach
Stretches of fine, warm sand and cute little beachside bars welcome visitors to Mushroom Beach. Those clear, pale blue waters are perfect for some truly blissful swimming – but you won't see much if you forget your snorkel. The best way to appreciate the abundance of colorful sea life near Mushroom Beach is to rent a boat and travel along the the coast. Better yet, your guide will know the best places to go to make the most of your underwater explorations.
Sandy Bay
Nusa Lembongan has a lot to offer for an island that's only about three square miles. If you can take your eyes off those lush tropical landscapes and the untouched, sun-dappled beaches, you'll probably be tempted to head out onto the water. The limestone caves and coasts near Sandy Bay are perfect for fish and sea life, so snorkeling here is an absolute wonder. Be aware though – the currents can be strong, so snorkeling is only recommended for strong swimmers.

The beach means different things to different people. What did the beach in Lembongan mean to you?

Need to find what beach suits here. Vary in safety. Pick according to your interest: surf, swimming, views.
Nice calm protected waters, fantastic snorkelling and a great variety of water sports.
the best beach was dream beach! 5 min drive from taos house
The views are stunning and the water crystal clear
The dream beach.
Dream beach
One of the best beaches we found on the island was Dream beach. A bit more isolated than Mushroom bay, but only a pleasant 30mins walk away. Mushroom Bay tends to have many boats moored and travelling in/out at different times of day. Some quiet spots though.
Sandy beaches, beach walks, walks along cliffs above giant breaking waves, boat trips to neighbouring islands & snorkeling, beachside dining & bars.

Lembongan Highlights

Snorkeling
On the Balinese island of Lembongan the pace of life is slower – which is why drift snorkelling is so popular. Enjoy all the wonders of the underwater world while the currents gently pull you along, or head to Manta Bay and meet some truly impressive giants of the deep.
