Beyond amazing in every way - I have travelled the world and stayed at many many places - never have I experienced soooo much help - kindness - generosity - I had an emergency dental issue and the owner not only arranged an appointment on my day of arrival but personally drove me the three times I had to go. Plus to ATM and to a festival on my first night. The breakfast each morning is so generous and different each day morning and served on the upstairs deck with sea views and a lovely breeze. Even a small thing when a button came off and I asked for a sewing kit he took to his wife to do for me. I also used his recommendation for a driver from the airport as o arrived late at night and would again recommend this service / it might cost a little bit more but worth it. I used the same driver to take me to Munroe Island. The room was spacious - comfortable and modern quiet a/c and a fan, plus a kettle. The bathroom had all that was needed with hot water. There is also a kitchen downstairs with large fridge and microwave. The beach is a five minute walk away. I will never forget the hospitality and kindness making my first trip ever to India incredible. Thank you 🙏

Kerala Cottages are AMAZING! The location, facilities, hospitality are all beautiful. it is true that it takes a bit of effort to reach the property, about an hours' tuk-tuk/taxi ride from TRV airport - but it's definitely worth the effort! It's in a quiet area, away from the hustle of the 'Cliff Walk', which is about 10 minutes away in a tuk-tuk. The cottages are spacious and SO comfy, clean and beautifully constructed, with a fine attention to comfortable details. The bathroom is huge, with very nice fixtures and great water pressure. The bed is super comfy, nice linens, and you have a nice seating area inside as well as on your private front porch, where you can watch the ocean and sunset! The grounds are well-kept and lush, and the ocean is literally a stones-throw away, with a cute smaller beach directly in front, that feels very private. The breakfast is to order, and really delicious. The restaurant serves regular meals that are also very nice! But the absolute best part is the staff and workers there. A young man named Nevin mans the front desk and tends to everyone staying there in the most personal and professional manner. He seems to always be available, and eager to help, or share information...always aware, but never intrusive in the least! For a truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience, Kerala Cottages is the BEST! I was SO sad to leave, and hope to visit again soon! A+++ experience!!

Customer service is superb. All staff are amazing, nice, and incredibly helpful. I traveled with an elder and they were really special with her, attending beyond normal all her needs. They were also incredibly nice with my 5 year old. Not a new hotel, but very well maintained. Very clean and comfortable. Also very quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was great.

We stayed at this guest house as a couple with our 3-year-old and ended up extending our stay from three to six nights because it was simply amazing. The staff was incredible, very welcoming, attentive, and always going the extra mile. Despite our late arrival, they waited up for us, ensured we got food before the kitchen closed, and made us feel at home immediately. Devon, one of the staff members, even gave me a ride to the pharmacy when my child developed a rash and went out of his way to bring back ice cream for her. Location is a 2-minute walk to a quiet beach. The rooms were clean, spacious, with comfy beds and hot water. The pool was a perfect spot to relax in the afternoons. The on-site restaurant offered delicious Indian and Western dishes, with the convenience of room service. Everything was smooth and stress-free, thanks to Nijad, who helped us plan all our activities seamlessly. The hospitality here is unmatched, and the value for money is excellent. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Varkala!

We stayed at Asteya as first time visitors to Kerala and it exceeded our expectations. Not only is the place massive, but it is absolutely stunning with an unobstructed view of the beach. Cafe Sarwaa literally right next door was perfect for breakfast and lunch. The place was extremely clean and had all the amenities we could have needed, including very comfy bed and robes! Best of all, Arif the owner made our stay so seamless and comfortable. He was available 24/7 for anything we needed and did so much for us- booked our transports, gave us the best recommendations, helped us with laundry, you name it he can help. It was the most relaxing stay and we felt very well taken care of. Highly highly recommend.
