Before arrival we received all the necessary information, which made a smooth check-in possible. The host Alfred has also supported us with questions via Whatsapp. The apartment itself is located a bit out of the way in the mountains. There is not much to do there and there is not much going on, which is however perfect to arrive on vacation. However, you should look closely at the location of the apartment to see if it is the right one. The apartment was very clean and is well equipped. The air conditioners work well, hot water comes quickly and the apartment is very well maintained. You actually have everything you need.

Lovely rooms with one double looking over the valley down to the sea. Good continental style breakfast and attentive service. Good welcome and help with information and guide to restaurants.

Nino and Marilena are wonderful hosts. They met me upon my arrival and made me feel welcome for the whole week. My room was clean and comfortable, as was the bathroom. Both were cleaned every day. There is a wonderful shared deck that looks over slopes with olive tree and vineyards leading down to the Mediterranean Sea, over which the sun sets each night. The village of San Mauro Cilento is small and charming, and La Dimora di Ulisse is just a few steps from the town’s piazza and the local cafe, Bar Centrale. I hope to return soon to San Mauro, and when I do I will definitely stay at La Dimora di Ulisse.

Sandro and Filomena (and their pup, Lyla) were the perfect hosts. They treated us like family. The breakfast each day was delicious. They also provided great tips for dining out in the area. The views from the B&B were spectacular and the location was perfect. We will always consider them great friends. We cannot wait to return to the beautiful San Mauro Cilento and to this incredible B&B!!

Casale Santa Rosalia is a gem in the Cilento hills, both the B&B itself and the people running it. You have a stunning view below of the clear blue Tyrrhenian coast and scattered towns from the tranquility of a working farm and beautiful housing. On the night before our departure, I hit something in the road and got a flat tire. Laura from the B&B was very helpful, offering to call a local mechanic. She went above and beyond in helping us organize alternate transportation, even offering to take us to the Agropoli train station herself. There’s a world-class olive oil producer near the B&B, Laura took us there too after the car incident.  The home cooked meal by a local working at the B&B, music recommendations, and regional Aglianico wine were top notch (homemade pasta, bread, local dishes with wild asparagus, fava beans).
