I would like to thank our host Franzi, Kiki and the rest of the team for treating us with the upmost respect and kindness. The wonderful staff was very attentive and made everyone feel at home at all times. Everything has been taken care of from the day we arrived to when we left. Breakfast was fantastic with a lot of varieties. Everything was freshly made with passion and love. Franzi would occasionally give us a ride with the tuktuk when going out, or in need of a quick transport. Her driving skills are simply unmatched and deserves mentioning. The days felt nice and long as the property offers a safe space to retreat from the busy, chaotic roads further south, making you enjoy every second at the property more. Stunning views from all corners into the vast ocean with unforgettable sunsets leave you speechless. Our trip through SriLanka was rapidly transformed from an adventurous busy holiday to a perfect relaxing safe space with direct access to the beach. Leaving this place makes me extremely sad but I am hoping to return soon again to spend some more quality time with the wonderful people I’ve met here, and can call friends. The room is very spacious with a huge bathroom and the hotel is located right at the beach! Everything was spotlessly clean and the bed is very comfortable. But the best aspect of this accomodation is the owner and the hosting team who truly went above and beyond to accommodate our every need. Every single employee was always extremely friendly and considerate, they truly left a mark on us for their hospitality. We took a surfing class which was super fun and the restaurant next to the hotel serves the best coconut roti in the world.

We were looked after very well by the manager and staff- pampered. The property is small, only four rooms, one day we were the only guests. The pool was lovely. Meals were excellent, and very reasonably priced. Villa Saffron is a beautiful boutique hotel.

The location is absolutely perfect. It's right on the beach, but the waves can be big, so you have the pool to cool down if you don't feel like getting sand in your bathsuit. It's on the beach, but it's on a quiet stretch of the beach. You walk for a few minutes along the beach and you hit all the restaurants and bars and all, but the hotel itself is quiet. There is a restaurant, enough chairs and sunbeds for everyone. You have breakfast, move to the pool to cool down, then onto the sun bed. And start again! It's a small hotel, definitely doesn't feel like a resort! I kept extending my stay, because everything was perfect there.
