Beach Hotels in Antsiranana

I always go there every year. They have grown beautiful gardens which added up to the value of the place.

Spacious room with hot water right on the beach. Excellent food for such a remote place.

Madakitecamp felt surreal right off the bat. I was a bit nervous because the photos and reviews looked too good to be true, but they were exactly as described. When you're brought there on the Sakalava Bay it feels like you've arrived in paradise. White Sand Beach, beautiful sunrise, and glistening still water. The staff were extremely friendly, and spoke enough English to make conversation. The manager spoke fluent English and french, and was available to help. I did wingfoil lessons and really enjoyed the coaching that the English teachers Stan and Romain provided. The latter even showed me the old baobab near the village. I've also heard from my brother and other people that this is an amazingly unique place to (learn to) wingfoil, kitesurf or windsurf. The huge bay is not busy at all (max 20 people. Usually <10) so it's easy to get into. There was a daily menu with about three starters (-+€3) , plates (-+€6) , and desserts (-+€3) each to choose from. There is a wide arrangement of cocktails (-+€3) and fresh juice from local produce. The bungalow itself was nice and clean. We were with three people in a bungalow with an ocean view, and it truly was an ocean view. It didn't take more than 20 steps to be in the water. Everyday you have the option to give off your key, which allows the staff to clean your bungalow, this is a thorough cleaning as they even fold your clothes (takes about an hour). Clothes can also be cleaned for about 5 euros. The only downside about it is that the toilet is not fully closed off to the bathroom, and the bathroom only has a curtain separating it from the living room. Although there are enough windows to open to let everything air out. We also never had any problems with the wifi. It was stable and fast. Also available throughout the restaurant and nearby beds. We also didn't encounter any mosquitos (august/september), but even if we thought they might go in, there is a proper protection around each bed.

Amazing stay. We were the only ones as it was low season and they were super accommodating. It was very peaceful, just what we needed. The staff was amazing, the bed was comfortable, and the views!!!! Simply wow. The only thing missing was a beach but everything else more than made up for it! They even managed to make a last minute cake for my birthday 🥹

Beautiful bungalow and view, great comfort with ventilation, sweet and hot water. Nice kitchen and amazing terrace. The hosts are super kind and kite instructors and beach boys are top!
