The beach is a great place to relax and unwind. The ocean is eternal and, though it changes from day to day, it is mesmerizing to watch. I have been visiting Rehoboth for 50 years, so part of the appeal is nostalgic. It is worth the effort to fight your way into town through the traffic on Route 1 and then to figure out the parking, but Rehoboth itself remains to me the quintessential beach town. There is plenty to do if you want to be busy, but the beach is always there if you just want to sit and stare.
There is a fun, touristy boardwalk. The surf is too short because the beach slopes at a steep angle into the water. This makes it deep with a strong undertow. I prefer a wide shallow beach with gentle waves. Cape Henlopen is a better beach than Rehoboth and it isnt farnfrom the hotel.
Beautiful beach with lots of great shopping and restaurants close by.
I love ocean beaches. Rehoboth Beach is clean.
Playing in the water and soaking up the sun.
Have been vacationing here since I was 2.
