The man at reception gave tremendous support in facilitating our reservation for a whale watch. We’re from the States, speak very little French. He went out of his way to help. I was very appreciative and impressed.

Located on the Réserve faunique de Matane reserve in the heart of the Chic-Chocs Mountains, this lodge is surrounded by hiking trails and wildlife. This is a fantastic lodge set in its own unspoiled mountain playground. It is rare to have a high-class hotel found in such a stunning location without having to share with other tourists. The staff are superb, and the Guides had encyclopedic knowledge of the local area and the extensive wildlife. Nothing was too much. The lodge really felt like a 'home from home'. So many activites to do - hiking, canoeing, E-biking to name a few.

Watching the gulls fly over the sea from the balcony every day was such a peaceful treat. Perfect home base for our skiing trip to Gaspesie National Park (about 40 minute drive) and made our spring trip so memorable.

Just 20 minutes’ drive from Gaspésie National Park, this guest accommodation overlooks Saint Lawrence River. It offers an on-site bar. All rooms are equipped with a fridge. Rooms, food, staff were all fantastic. We enjoyed every bit of it. While the food was amazing, we felt it (mainly the breakfast) was a bit expensive.

Located on a small cliff in Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, this guest house offers free Wi-Fi. It is a 5-minute walk from the beach and a 5-minute drive from the Gaspésie National Park. Quiet neighborhood. There is an adorable house cat which shares the gîte, so be prepared for a good loving purrful cat! Breakfast was coffee and croissants/jam…. Very nice.

When we first arrived I realized it wasn’t going to be a normal motel. It had a very small family owned motel feel. It was smaller then your used to motel but I can’t honestly complain about anything and it just had a kind of home away from home feel. I only saw 2 staff, the owner the first day and then the cleaning lady. Stayed 5 nights and every time we went back I was extremely comfortable which I don’t useually have when staying at a motel, after a couple nights I wanna leave but here it was a pleasure to get back to at the end of the day. Thanks Auberge Chez Bass for a great stay and an amazing snowmobile trip
