We choose this place because it looked quiet and comfortable and we were not disappointed. We wanted to be within easy reach of the ski area at Spitzingsee and this was perfect as it's only 10 minutes up the road to the skiing. Our room has gorgeous views over the lake and at night we could see the lights of Schliersee town strung out along the lake edge. It was very beautiful. Our room (Primerl) had a small seating nook where I sat in the mornings looking out over the lake. Beautifully appointed room, simple but cosy, and incredibly comfortable beds. The area is incredibly quiet. There is a train line running alongside in the distance but the sound is very muted (and we sleep with the windows open) and I quite enjoyed the sight of the little train creeping along the lake by the forest and the call of its horn. Overall very idyllic.

Peacefully located a 5-minute drive from Bad Reichenhall, this family-run hotel has a lakeside terrace overlooking Lake Thumsee. The Bavarian-style rooms feature balconies with panoramic mountain views. The hotel was set in a beautiful valley with spectacular views. Dirk was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The room was nicely appointed, which made for a very comfortable stay. The breakfast selection gave plenty of choices. The price made this stay very good value.

A large program sport and activities as hiking, stand-up paddling and horse riding are offered. There is also a Kids Club for children older than 3 and guests have exclusive access to the hotel owned Bachmair Weissach Beach at Lake Tegernsee. The staff was always friendly and helpful. We had a nice and quite room, where we slept extremely well. The breakfast buffet is amazing with a huge variety of fresh, healthy and tasteful local products. Always again!

Althoff Seehotel Überfahrt features soundproofed rooms with free WiFi and great views of the Bavarian Alpine foothills. - staff were professional - beautiful area and location - fridge was cold - had an early check in which was appreciated - dine in food was delicious - breakfast was out of this world - valet service is a plus - lobby was magnificent - the art in the hotel is very much worth watching and contemplating - loved the balcony - had a disturbance from some construction work above our room so we got an upgrade and changed the position of the room far away from the construction it shows you how true luxury hotels care for their guests

Munich was only 40 minutes away, and Salzburg was just over an hour. The apartment had plenty of space for our large family, and we were able to spread out comfortably. Beds were very comfortable. Parking is super convenient.
