The owners of this stay were so very very kind. We had to inform them that someone on our reservation was unable to come due to an illness, and they went out of their way to get her a souvenir! How kind is that?! When you arrive, they give you a cup of, possibly, the most delicious heated orange juice I have ever had. Genuinely both my brother and I were shocked at how good it was lol. They were also very complementary of my terrible japanese, so bonus points for hyping me up XD. The stay itself is quite small, but it has a magnificent view out of the window to the beach and the palm trees, and the sunset over the mountain is breathtaking. It also has everything you would need for a stay, fridge, microwave, table, kitchenette, etc. Special shoutouts to the shower, holy crap the heat and water pressure from that thing were life changing, and I wish I could have taken that shower home with me. Genuinely in the months that I have stayed in Japan that was the best shower I have ever had. No worries about food, there is a Konbini very close as well. All in all this was a wonderful stay, very convenient, hosts were really nice. Absolutely will try to stay here again when I retry the Shimanami Kaido.

Set in Takamatsu, 12 km from Sunport Takamatsu, THE CHELSEA BREATH offers accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking, a shared lounge and a garden. A wonderful amazing hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The setting is overwhelming! Why only 3 stars, the hotel deserves 5.

Set in Mitoyo, 43 km from Liminal Air-core Takamatsu, BED N CHILL Shippoya 七宝屋 offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a bar. For walking Henro, it couldn't be more convenient, right on the trail. The host is a friendly guy who operates a very fine bar as well. We loved the interaction had there with other guests, sharing some fine Nihonshu. The showers were excellent, and the bunk beds very comfortable, a great place to chill.

Located within 22 km of Mollusco Mugi Museum and 39 km of Hiwasa Chelonian Museum Caretta, Guest House Mitsuka offers rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Shishikui. Very comfy and cosy stay! Host dinner and breakfast was superb! Huge portion and wide variety. Very homey dishes. Host was very friendly and kept checking everything is good.

Located in Shishikui, 2.9 km from Shirahama Beach, Pension Shishikui provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a private beach area and a terrace. The location of this hotel was exceptional. The breakfast was absolutely some of the best that I had in Japan - complete with homemade breads, granola, and more. The staff was also very kind to us, even for those folks that there was a language barrier. I honestly just loved this place!

Located in Sanuki, 15 km from Yakuri-ji Temple, Jakomaru Park Tsuda provides accommodation with a terrace, free private parking and a restaurant. Great value for the price, wonderful staff, nice sea view, easy on site parking.

Located in Takamatsu, 3.3 km from Isamu Noguchi Garden Museum and 3.9 km from Yakurishion Christ Church, GARDENIA Sunset offers an open-air bath and air conditioning. Wonderful experience, quiet, modern and with a nice outdoor bath that we enjoyed a lot!

オーシャンビューで海水浴が出来てカフェも近い貸し切り宿ウミトミント, a property with a garden, is set in Otsuki, 25 km from Enkoji Temple, 33 km from Ashizuri Underwater Aquarium, as well as 39 km from Kanjizaiji Temple. Its a quiet confortable japanese/western style house in a remote area close to the sea. Nobu the owner is very friendly and is very informative. He will surely send you a lot of infos about activities in the area. Make sure you will follow his instructions to get to his place if you chose to spend sometime in this area and bring some food with you

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a private pool, sea view and a balcony, プチリゾート・ひじきwest is located in Hijiki. Very comfortable and spacious accommodation in a quiet village, close to the access to Mt Shiude and next to the beach. The accommodation has almost everything you need. The bed was very comfortable. The owner is very responsive by mail and made sure I had a comfortable stay, kindly letting me borrow an iron during my stay.
