32 km from Aquamarine Fukushima in Iwaki, 民宿たきた館 guest house TAKITA-KAN provides accommodation with access to a hot spring bath and public bath. The property has quiet street views. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. The food arrangement was a combination mostly of typical Japanese dishes with a touch of western cuisine. We stayed on New Year's Eve so we even got some special dishes on top! For drinks, there were also several home-made ones (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to choose from. The owner was extremely nice! He and his partner have a lot of international travel experience, especially in Latin America and Spain. They have very broad perspectives, so it's not a problem to stay as a foreigner even if you haven't been to Japan before. The inn of course has a natural hot spring bath, and we were able to book a time-slot to use privately. It is a remote location far away from the city, so we could enjoy some time away from the busy city and do some stargazing as well. They keep several cats which are very cute and friendly towards the guests.

Clean, easy checkin and checkout. Breakfast also was much better than what I usually see in similar level hotels!

Old style hotel but with large rooms and old style hospitality. Free parking, fantastic breakfast with anything you liked on offer, easy check in and -out.

Set in Miyako, 600 metres from Jodogahama Beach and 49 km from Kamaishi Recovery Memorial Stadium, Jodogahama Park Hotel features a restaurant and mountain views. Relaxing and remote. Not a lot of tourists or visitors so was not crowded. Beautiful scenery . Excellent buffet breakfast and dinner. Very excellent staff. Walking distance everywhere and lots of trails. Room is as shown in photos. Ocean view is a must when staying here. Free shuttle to and from Miyako station. Onsen was excellent.

Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge.... Wonderful, friendly, helpful host, great location and an intimate property that offers real insight into Japanese culture.

Konosu Onsen 鴻の巣温泉 1F is a recently renovated guest house in Sendai, where guests can make the most of its open-air bath and garden. Great location, really friendly owner who was very accommodating. Felt more than welcome and couldn’t recommend a better place to stay.
