Aia, eraranna ja terrassiga B&B De Hofstee asub Giethoornis. Jõevaatega majutusasutus jääb Hoogeveenist 44 km kaugusele. This is the best decision we made for all accommodations on our trip. The village of Giethoorn should be experienced when it’s not invaded by tourists-that requires you to stay the night to enjoy the quiet romantic evening strolls, and refreshing morning walks. The hosts were accommodating, friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay worry free. The location is off the main “canal” and within walking distance to everything. We took the bikes to the grocery store and to the nature parks. We also rented a boat from the host - I highly recommend that you do this, but start before 9 AM so that you can finish before the … rush of tourists take over. We never saw such boat traffic. We will be back and now we have to not guess where to stay. The room is spacious and very clean. Bathroom is spacious and private. The grounds are clean and well maintained. Breakfast was plenty, as others have written, we didn't need lunch.

Fantastic countryside location, wonderful lake swimming 50m from the front door, great cycling and an abundance of local walks, lovely bistro restaurant nearby , extremely spacious and well furnished apartment, Jorieke met us, showed us everything and was very supportive throughout.

Tastefully renovated & well equipped house in a nice quiet location with lots of activities & dining options nearby for families with children. A highlight was renting bikes and cycling the beautiful area around Gierthoorn. The hot tub and sauna add an extra layer of relaxation!
