B&B De Hofstee is set in Giethoorn and offers a garden, a private beach area and a terrace. The property has river views and is 44 km from Hoogeveen. This is the best decision we made for all accommodations on our trip. The village of Giethoorn should be experienced when it’s not invaded by tourists-that requires you to stay the night to enjoy the quiet romantic evening strolls, and refreshing morning walks. The hosts were accommodating, friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay worry free. The location is off the main “canal” and within walking distance to everything. We took the bikes to the grocery store and to the nature parks. We also rented a boat from the host - I highly recommend that you do this, but start before 9 AM so that you can finish before the … rush of tourists take over. We never saw such boat traffic. We will be back and now we have to not guess where to stay. The room is spacious and very clean. Bathroom is spacious and private. The grounds are clean and well maintained. Breakfast was plenty, as others have written, we didn't need lunch.

Situated on a large estate at the recreation park Het Hulsbeek and only 14 km from Ootmarsum, this hotel offers modern rooms set in contemporary accommodation. It has a large garden with a pond. Everyone was really friendly, the food was delicious and the rooms are comfortable and spacious

Featuring free WiFi, a restaurant and a children's playground, Buitenplaats de Luwte offers accommodation in Zwolle, 5 km from the center of the city and the Museum de Fundatie. Breakfast was great and location was very good. Made a trip to Giethoorn because the proximity to the Luwte.
