Our hosts, Chris and Tom, were super friendly, chatty, and genuinely caring—we really enjoyed their company. The property itself is lovely: very clean, calm, and with a beautiful view from the room. It truly felt like home. The room, bathroom, and toilet were all perfect. The only small point is that the room isn’t very soundproof, though we were lucky to have quiet neighbors. Also, there was no hairdryer in the room. The shared kitchen is big, fully equipped, and kept spotless. Breakfast was more than satisfactory—we had it all four mornings and were very happy with it. It’s comparable to what you’d get in a good 2–3 star hotel. The surroundings are wonderful, with a small scenic lake nearby and plenty of outdoor activities available, such as biking, e-biking, canoeing, ... Overall, we were truly satisfied with our stay. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!

Scenically set in the village of Sörsjön, this hostel is 35 km north of Sälen at the base of Fulufjället Mountain. It offers communal kitchen facilities and spa treatments on site. The landlord was very friendly, the house is very cozy and huge, the shared bathroom is very clean and you can see the pretty sky at night. 35-40 minutes driver to the ski resort Sälen.
