Exactly how we pictured the stay , rustic cosy cabin updated just enough like the shower cubicle all functioning applicances good pans etc but love the vintage details (kitchen tiles) and WOW a whistling kettle (thank you from us Brits), Cabin 3 was actually perfectly tucked out the way by the river between amazing redwoods. The site is perfect for walks to Henry Cowell hikes although we didn't brave crossing the river to it; just listened to the water whilst wrapped in my blanket drinking tea on the deck. One evening we did the HC redwood loop the next day we headed all the way through to the top of the hills what amazing views and secenery on sandy trails and lovely birds. Everything you need in the cabin to feel like home and a very comfy bed and perfect stop on our californian tour to see even more redwoods and cabin in the redwoods was just amazing. Cypress Inn on Miramar Beach is located on the beachfront in Half Moon Bay, a few steps from Miramar Beach and 39 km from Lands End Lookout Visitor Center. With free WiFi, this 3-star inn offers a concierge service. Certain rooms at the property include a terrace with a sea view. I had a wonderful two nights at the Cypress Inn. My room was next to the reception and I had the most beautiful view of the ocean. The staff were very friendly and the evening wine happy bar and freshly baked cookies were a treat!

This Half Moon Bay hotel is less than 5 minutes walk to Half Moon Bay Brewing Company and a variety of restaurants and 10 minutes’ drive to Half Moon Bay State Beach.

Overlooking the bay, Oceano Bar & Grill at the Oceano Hotel offers coastal fare for dinner nightly. The bar area onsite features a variety of cocktails, beer and wine. The rooms were gorgeous and really cozy. I loved the extra features including the in-room fireplace and kitchenette. Super comfy beds as well!

This Capitola hotel is 10 minutes’ drive from central Santa Cruz and New Brighton State Beach. It features an outdoor pool, and spacious suites with 32-inch flat-screen TVs and an iPod docking station. The hotel is very nice and cozy, the parking lot is very convenient

Guests staying at this bed and breakfast have access to a patio. This 4-star bed and breakfast offers private entrance. Great location in the heart of town. Beautiful rooms decorated in victorian style. Bed was very comfortable. Lovely parlor to sit in with coffee, tea, wine, brandy and freshly baked cookies available. There is a library where you can read or borrow a book and a nice courtyard surrounded by roses and other flowers to sit, sip or eat.
