Like most upperclass accommodation, Oasis ticks all the right boxes, BUT Oasis offers personal owner attention that I as a seasoned traveller has seldom, if ever, experienced. A highlight not to pass is picnic or braai by boat (or both like we did). Johnny and Steffie will take you to as private as you wish spot on the dam for an experience seldom seen before. They can even enroute stop at a beach bar. You will go far finding people so tuned to pleasing you.

Located within 10 km of Citrusdal, Waterfall Farm Self-Catering Cottages Citrusdal provides facilities like BBQ facilities and garden. Our group of 7 had a fantastic 3 days at the farm. We stayed in Honey Cottage- it is well equipped with a lovely verandah and plunge pool. It is a 900m walk to the stunning waterfalls-a great way to cool off and enjoy nature. Aaron & Sophia were around when we needed anything. We’d recommend this property to others looking for a getaway not too far from Cape Town. An added bonus is that it is pet friendly!

One of the highlights was being surprised with a complimentary upgrade to the honeymoon suite—a thoughtful gesture that added an extra layer of romance to our trip. The suite itself was beautifully styled, blending comfort with creativity in a way that felt both luxurious and intimate. The resort’s tented chalets are a masterpiece of design. Each one is uniquely styled, with a creative flair that makes them feel special and different from standard accommodation. We loved how the tents are spaced far apart, offering privacy and tranquility, perfect for couples seeking a romantic escape. The beach canteen was another standout feature. Its relaxed yet stylish atmosphere made every meal feel like an experience, and the food was simply fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Overall, Yamu Lifestyle Resort offers a romantic vibe throughout, from the secluded chalets to the thoughtful service and exquisite dining. It’s the kind of place where every detail is designed to make you feel cared for and inspired. We left feeling refreshed, connected, and already planning our return.
