The house has a good vibe and Eleni was an excellent host. She waited for us at the bus station which was brilliant as the house is on the sea shore and the bus station and the rest of the village up on a hill. As presented, you book the first level of the house and that gives you privacy and a lot of sleeping space. The location is one minute from the sea and 5 minutes of relaxed walk toward the public beach, the only one in the area with fine sand and turquoise waters (the entrance in the water is stoney on the rest of the sea Afytos shore). The property also has an umbrella you can take with you at the beach, a very good thing having in mind that the organized area of the beach is expensive (40 euros for two chairs and an umbrella in the exquisite area of the beach). There are a couple of restaurants near the public beach, so you don't have to get up in the village for lunch. I have to mention though that in the village the prices are a bit lower. The stairs near the house are easy to walk on and they shortcut a lot of the walk on the street. In the village we loved Limonis bakery and the supermarket near it. Eleni recommended them both, and they were indeed probably some of the best options in the village. The village and its streets could definitely look better, but if you are there for the sea, it doesn't matter that much. If you travel to Afytos by KTEL bus, there are some direct ones from Thesaloniki (65 minutes) and some that go through small Greek villages (90 minutes or more).

Incredibly friendly owner and the most chill and amazing view - you can see the sunrise. It was small and cozy, exactly what we needed! When we arrived we were greeted with cold beers which was perfect for the hot weather and the long road.
