Charming historical house in very good condition. The hosts were wonderfully accommodating, provided a great breakfast, and a fascinating historical tour of the adjacent hop kiln. Highly recommended.

I booked a very impromptu trip, but felt I arrived to what I imagine an Italian summer home would be like! The interior styling with linen and brass fixtures elevated the room, and the high ceilings made it feel even bigger. I felt grateful to have lived in the SW to be able to enjoy the experience of the ethereal stay at Walton House. For those travelling to explore the Huon Valley or South West: Walton's House location is superb for a day trip to Tahune/Hartz Mountain, and close but far enough to the shops and restaurants in Huonville. Thank you Walton House for sharing your creation with us!

Staying at Hobart Hideaway Pods felt like a magical escape – central to Hobart yet completely immersed in nature. Tanya, the host, was incredibly warm and welcoming. Watching the wildlife from the pod was unforgettable: playful pademelons, vibrant birdlife, flitting butterflies, and buzzing bees. The goats added a charming touch, captivating us for hours. We loved the cozy warmth of the eco-cabins and the breathtaking views.

The beds were extra comfy with linen sheets, it was very easy to have a restful sleep in total quiet. The breakfast supplies were sumptuous, the visiting chickens were there for your morning cuppa. The rufus wallaby with her joey was right at the door. Dinner could be had at the historic Kiln restaurant and a morning expresso was just a short walk to the bakery. Carolyn was a brilliant host, lots of information about what to visit without any intrusion.
