Amazing place to spend your vacation while visiting Bayerischer Wald NP. The owners are super welcoming and super friendly! The rooms are perfectly clean and breakfast is awesome! We had an apartment. It was spacious, airy, light & tastefully decorated. It had two balconies...front off the living room (great for watching the sun set), back off the bedroom. There were large common areas for sitting, cooking & eating if desired, but the best facility for us in this area was the free coffee machine that produced unlimited cups of cafe latte. A big plus was TV channels in English in the living room of the apartment. The bathroom always had plenty of hot water. Very helpful owner. Kitchen was very well equipped (though the addition of a microwave in the apartment or common area would have been useful sometimes). Close to supermarkets (walking distance less than 1 km)

We stay at Gästehaus Steininger every time we come to this area. The pension is perfect for us in every way! Comfortable and clean room, friendly and very welcoming host, excellent location in a walking distance of the town center. Great views at the surrounding mountains from the spacious terrace. Plenty of parking space for our car. Fresh mountain air and peace and quiet for a well deserved good night sleep.
