Casa del Mediterraneo was the greatest experience we could have found in Barcelona. The location was the greatest (just 5 min walk from Casa Batllo), there were many local restaurants, bars and clubs around. The host, Carlos, was the nicest and helpful person we have encountered. he explained everything about our stay, explained the city, what to visit, where to dine, and the piblic transportation to the main touristic locations. The rooms were neat clean, comfortable beds and cute little balconies. The optional breakfast was very good as well in the cafe accross the street. overall, Casa del Mediterraneo was the greatest experience.

The hotel has an arrangement with a private underground carpark directly opposite the hotel so that's handy too.

Fantatstic service by Cecilia, Mina, and Marco. They made bookings for us and gave us great suggestions for food and places to visit. Bed was comfortable and pillows great ( normally, this is an issue in hotels ). Was on a quiet street so heard very little noise but we were a couple of minutes walk into the centre of Barcelona. Great location to explore from. It is a boutique hotel so with only 38 rooms it isn't like there are as many people as you would find in larger hotels. This then allows a more personalised service.

This property was just so charming. It is a really large B and B on a whole floor of a beautiful building down a quiet street in Barcelona. Great location as just a short walk to main part of Barcelona. We had a room with a terrace. It was a large room and comfortable bed. The breakfast was great. The place is decorated so beautifully and Theodora the owner gave us lots of helpful information when we arrived.

Other than a small issue of not enough hot water on the first night, we enjoyed our stay, as the place was quiet and private, and we hardly saw anyone else. Not the place for you if you like to be sociable with other guests, but great for those who value privacy. Communication was good - replies were instant and requests were met. Cute little terrace. Facing La Rambla could be a bit noisy but this accomodation is in a secondary street in a quiet place. Double rooms with private bathroom with all facilities you need. They clean rooms everyday. Best quality/price in La Rambla. The owner speaks only Spanish.
