the breakfast order was taken the day you arrived,in the room was a table and chairs in the baywindow.in the morning we had a continental breakfast.everything you could need,it was outside your door at the time you specified.then you open the door and its all on a trollley.excellent,,,how they get the trolley up the stairs is a mystery...we,ll have to stay agin to find out

The Golden Lion is a grand old pub in a perfect location - high town. The friendly, welcoming staff secured our touring bikes in a rear shed overnight. Our room was quitelarge, the bed comfy and the bathroom modern. The full English breakfast really set us up for our ride the next day. I particularly liked the pod coffee machine in our room ... and its big brother behind the bar at breakfast. We'll be back!!

The location was amazing and awesome the staff were very friendly and helpful,the bed was so comfortable we both had a great night sleep. we would highly recommend to anyone and will be going back again.

Everything was excellent, the room was spacious and comfortable, the location of the property was great, the breakfast was lovely and the hosts are absolutely delightful, would highly recommend The Croft

The host was also the owner and cared about her guests. I like the quaint and personal atmosphere of the entire inn. The restaurant was excellent and adjoining pub was truly English style. The whole experience was very nice.

Good old fashioned country pub and accommodation. Quirky in an OK way. Wonderful hosts. Nice garden bar at rear.
