The Bellavista was the perfect clean and cozy homebase for us during our Stay in Orkney. The rooms were really comfortable and Sandra the owner was very helpful and generous in letting us check in early and use the laundry facilities. Fiona and Colin were brilliant hosts. The breakfasts are fresh and cooked to order, along with a wide selection of cereals and juices. Our room was spotless and roomy, with a big closet for hanging up rain-dampened clothes. It’s a 20-minute walk to the centre of Kirkwall, or a 6£ cab ride if you’re coming back from the pubs. There is ample parking on the property.

Very friendly, welcoming host who was keen to help with advice about places to go, things to do and accommodate all our requests (eg Gluten free breakfast) with a cheerful disposition. The facilities were spotlessly clean and the location was ideally situated for our needs, although for others it might be a little too far out of the main centre of town. Having a safe space to park our car was also very much appreciated.
