The Mill, Long Melford 4 stars

Long Melford

Breakfast is served in the conservatory of the main house. A full cooked, vegetarian and continental breakfast is available in addition to seasonal favourites such as home made blueberry pancakes, porridge, and smoked salmon with fresh scrambled eggs from The Mill's chickens. We stayed in the Melford room which was amazing- it was sparkling clean, beautifully decorated and the massive bath was great. Breakfast each morning was delicious and Paul the host was lovely. The mill is well located, it’s a very short walk to the high street where there’s little tea rooms and plenty of pubs and nice food places. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing weekend away in the area.

The Black Lion, Long Melford 5 stars

Long Melford

The Black Lion is a 15th century inn overlooking the green with an award-winning restaurant and views of Melford Hall. Rooms are furnished with antiques and modern artifacts from around the world.

Most rooms overlook the green and have views of Long Melford. Some rooms have soft bath robes and handmade toiletries. The staff were so fantastic! Nothing was too much trouble for them! They even provided dog blanket, foot balm and treats for my cavapoo. Food and drink was fantastic and the room was enormous - lovely quiet little village and we got a great nights sleep. I had a great time and couldn’t fault anything at all!
