Everything. The bed was comfortable, as was the loveseat. The shower was great. The service was exceptional. Olive was very attentive and served us a wonderful breakfast each morning, and she made us drinks to take along in the car while we spent the first day sightseeing. The location was very close to the main part of Stornoway and the ferry terminal. There was a hair towel supplied l that I appreciated and used. I liked that we were the only guests, and Olive made us feel very welcomed. She had a box of candy for us in the room. She made us tea when we arrived on the late ferry. I can't remember all the details, but it was the little things that mattered.

If I could rate this higher than 10, I would. Our room was very nicely furnished, comfortable, quiet and clean. There were so many little touches in it to enhance our stay that were most appreciated. Our breakfast was one of the very best we had during 35 days of travel. Our host was warm and helpful while also being non-obtrusive. The location was perfect for a long walk in the woods to the river and castle with a coffee stop along the way. We wished we could have stayed longer!

Fantastic breakfast warm extremely helpful host. Best place we stayed the entire trip. It was a respite - it was homelike. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in staying in Lewis for an exceptionally reasonable price!

It was a central location, close to the ferry terminal where I arrived at Stornoway (and easy to find- basically a straight walk down the road) but also a little secluded. for somewhere so clear to the centre, with its own little bay... so it gave me a sense of the island. The host was really friendly and interesting to chat with and the breakfast was really nice.

The Broad Bay House is set above a beautiful beach with exquisite views of the ocean from the deck outside our room. The house is modern, clean and comfortable. This stay was a highlight of our tour through Scotland.
