This lovely hotel is a peaceful retreat in the heart of old Udaipur. There are many remarkable features of the Neem Tree: the spacious rooms, the delicious breakfast, the relaxing swimming pool; but what our family appreciated the most was the helpful advice. From restaurant recommendations, to a tailor to fix a ripped knapsack, the team at The Neem Tree was excellent. If you ask them to help arrange transportation, getting to their hotel in the old city is easy. We stayed four days at The Neem Tree but wish we could have stayed much longer. An exceptional experience!

Priya and his family were very kind to us. for the first time in India we had a host providing us with a map and showing us directions. Room was spotless clean, direct hot water and all sorts of amenities (shampoo, soap, etc.). The room decoration was also beautiful. Priya was also especially helpful when my partner got sick, they treated us like family. Thank you again! P.S. Breakfast was very generous and delicious. We also ate lunch our last day before going to the airport and it was the best home made indian food we’ve had: freshly made, simple and non-spicy

Deepak is an exceptional host, that ensures your stay is comfortable and happy. The guesthouse is situated just a few minutes walk from the lake and the beautiful town. The room was clean, comfortable and peaceful considering it was in the heart of the city. There is a roof top that has views over the city which is relaxing to sit on at sunset. It was also exceptional value. For this price you won't find anything better.

From before we arrived to after we left, we felt welcomed and cared about. The check-in experience was seamless, the staff were extremely professional and accommodating, and we could tell that our host truly cared about our comfort and travel goals. The property is spacious and airy, with tons of natural light, and it's decorated beautifully and tastefully. There was so much attention to detail, and so many cozy common spaces where we could hang out that we never felt confined to our room. There is a kitchen on-site with a wonderful menu with lots of great vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. We adored the food at Avaanti, and were so pleased that everything was made to order — it meant we had to place our food orders a little in advance, but we didn't mind at all! We had delicious food freshly prepared as per our tastes, and we loved it so much that we asked to dine there even after we had checked out. Finally, a note about their exceptional hospitality: Our last night in Udaipur, we grossly overpaid for an item and we realised our mistake when we had already reached Jaipur. We contacted the host, Mr. Deovrat, and he was so sympathetic, and even outraged on our behalf. He asked us to send the item back, and personally arranged for it to be delivered to the merchant, and a member of his staff stood there until he received confirmation that we had been fully refunded! This example displays the exceptional care and hospitality the team at Avaanti brings to every interaction with their guests. Thank you so very much for making our stay enjoyable and memorable! We're definitely going to go out of our way to return to Udaipur and Avaanti when we plan future travels.

I stayed for two days at Lake Face Guest House during Diwali and had a great experience. The hospitality by the owner, Mr. Neeraj, was excellent. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the bed was comfortable. All the rooms have a lake facing view which makes the morning chai taste better. Mr. Neeraj was generous enough to offer a complimentary breakfast on the first morning, which was delicious. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with a welcoming atmosphere. The only minor downside was the slow Wi-Fi, but it didn’t affect my experience much. I highly recommend staying here and plan to return during my next trip to Udaipur.

Amazing historical building, the rooms are furnished with modern amenities. Very clean. The staff has been extremely helpful. Nothing is fake, all real. A rare gem in India where most hotels are not honest about their amenities and have many fake reviews. I wish I could stay longer. If you’re in Udaipur don’t miss this hotel.

    Quiet, clean and really comfortable. Great location - a pretty space in the bustling old town not far from the lake but tucked away so nice and quiet. I was given free room upgrade to a bigger room which was great but all the rooms looked lovely. Very comfortable bed. Super friendly and helpful staff.
