Out of all our travels, probably the nicest host we have ever encountered. We struggled on the trail and we're not going to make it by the end of check in time. He offered to come pick us up, had a huge smile on his face when he arrived, and had cold drinks in the car just for us. The stay was great, clean room, restaurant recommendations and reservations that were great. And when we left, we had a cold towel in the refrigerator we forgot about. After 15 minutes of hiking, and just as we realized we forgot it, guess who drove up with the towel in hand. He handed us the towel and cheered us on as we continued our hike. One in a million.

Samantha and Massimo have created a space that is homey and relaxed, like you're staying with friends, but is also a professionally run inn. We loved our stay--beautiful solid wood structure they built themselves, comfortable, clean, great bed, quiet, lovely view over the valley, delicious and generous breakfast. When the restaurant in town that they normally recommend was unexpectedly closed for the evening, they offered to drive us to the next town! Their hospitality is unmatched. We opted for tasty and filling sandwiches from the charming nearby cafe. If you're lucky enough that a room is available on your Via Degli Dei hike, book it. The short distance off the trail is well marked and 100% worth it.

The hosts were very welcoming and friendly, even with our minimal Italian we felt very much at ease! Giovanna made sure we had a dinner reservation at a nearby restaurant, and they even drove us there. We were very grateful for the possibility to do the laundry and wash our hiking boots (the first stage of Via degli Dei was so muddy). The bed was fine, and the breakfast was decent, too. The hosts even provided some snacks for the road.

Marco and Sabrina were very kind and helpful, they made us feel comfortable and relaxed. They made many suggestions for meals, parking and attractions. I especially liked getting to know Ares, their beautiful dog. The scenery in the countryside and mountains is beautiful.

Perfect spot to stay while hiking the Via Degli Dei. Filippo and Loredana are wonderful hosts! They were extremely responsive via messages, and it was a pleasure to talk with them over breakfast. Their place is spotlessly clean with comfy bed and great shower. We really appreciated the washer and dryer, too. It's a shared bathroom, but there are only two rooms sharing it. Also, there are a couple of restaurants and a grocery store a short walk down the street in Monzuno. We also used Filippo's excellent luggage transport service--he picked up two suitcases for us in Bologna, and they were waiting for us when we finished the Via Degli Dei in Florence. A great place to stay while hiking la Via degli Dei. The decor is really fun and creative (reminiscent of the Madonna Inn in California). Breakfast is self serve with a wide range of food. B&B only has one guest room and guests essentially get the whole floor to themselves. Multiple restaurants within a 5 minute walk.
