We liked the most was Raj. He is the guy who manage the place and he is an absolute pleasure. His professionalism and friendliness really helped us enjoy the trip. It was such a nice place. He made tea for us, got us food and did everything we asked without any complaints. We would go there again, just for him.

There are 4 very clean, large and comfortable rooms. The rooms have everything we needed. There is a terrace with amazing views of the mountains and a very spacious living room area where we can sit, read and relax. The owners/hosts are so friendly and kind, attending to all our needs. We had dinner ordered, made by the host family. It was absolutely delicious home cooked meal. The breakfast was excellent too with strong coffee. And the WiFi was the best so far in Sri Lanka. It’s close to everything. Such a gem if you are on a budget or not.

The people here were SUPER friendly. It was also the best food I tasted the entire time I was in Sri Lanka. Unfortunately I went during the rainy season, and it literally rained the whole time, making it difficult to get out and do much. I was able to take the tour of the tea factory and I highly recommend it. It was very interesting. The surrounding landscape was beautiful as well. The room was basic, but comfortable.

Upon arrival, I was immediately struck by the natural beauty surrounding Rock View. The serene river flowing by added a serene touch to the overall atmosphere. The property itself was well-maintained and exuded a warm and inviting charm. I found my room to be impeccably clean and well-appointed. What truly set Rock View apart, however, was the exceptional level of service I received throughout my stay. The owner was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met. From recommendations for local attractions to arranging transportation, they exhibited a genuine concern for their guests' satisfaction. Overall, my stay at Rock View exceeded my expectations in every aspect. If you are searching for a peaceful retreat offering a wonderful blend of nature and comfort, Rock View is the choice.

This place is truly wonderful. The house itself is beautifully designed and built. You can tell that a lot of care went into it, and everything feels high-quality and comfortable. The garden is incredibly peaceful, and the natural spring is just magical. The beds are super comfortable, and the rooms and the entire house are as clean as a 5-star hotel. There's a really nice atmosphere about the whole place. The location is great too. It's quiet and relaxing, but it's also only a 10-15 minute walk to the train station and downtown Hatton. Nana, the owner and host, is fantastic. He used to play on the Sri Lankan national football team, which makes for great stories. He's really welcoming and makes you feel at home, but he also knows when to give you space. The food he cooks is delicious, and he always gives generous portions. He's a really interesting and fun person to talk to. He's happy to help you with anything you need and really looks out for his guests. He's also a trained physical therapist, so he gave me a great massage. After a few days hiking the Pekoe Trail, it was exactly what I needed. If you're hiking Adam's Peak, he even packs a lunch for you. I don't usually write reviews like this, but I honestly can't recommend Ulpatha enough. The house itself is easily a 10, and Nana's hospitality makes it even better. I wish I could give it 20 stars! If you're looking for a place to stay in this area, you should definitely consider Ulpatha.
