The room — and house — was exceptionally clean and well decorated. The facility also had a peaceful, quiet feel. Mel, our host, was fantastic. She was friendly and helpful. Her breakfast was excellent as well. The room also had its own toilet, sink, and shower. The water was hot and plentiful. The bed was comfortable. WiFi and TV worked flawlessly. Parking was ample, the flowers and grounds were well maintained. We highly recommend as stay at Kingsdown Manor!

Lynn was about the nicest host we’ve had on our trip so far. She takes the comfort of her guests very seriously, and the bed with electric blankets are super comfortable! The breakfast is lovely. She even took our 5 year old son around to see some of their farm animals. Highly recommend this accommodation!

Exceptional full kitchen with so much stuff provided including some really tasty cookies. Washroom, dining and living areas were also great. Really nice instructions were provided to access the property after hours. The place has a classic nostalgic feel! It's like a hostel, but I would prefer it over many full suites. Privacy is not compromised.

Double glazing in the windows,alongside central heating was great for mid winter in Timaru. Spacious shower and bathroom with two separate bedrooms was perfect for two nights stay. Enquires to the host were answered promptly and politely.

it was a pastoral heaven. at night I saw two shooting stars in a star soaked sky. beautifully decorated. our host, Sharyn, was delightful! friendly, helpful, and gracious.

We had the best stay at this wonderful b&b - the only downside was that we couldn’t stay for longer. The bed was huge and comfortable, the shower was the best we had in NZ and the breakfast with freshly laid eggs was absolutely delicious. Pam and Ollie were the sweetest hosts and we enjoyed hearing about their story and how their farm has changed over the years. Marley was a ball of puppy energy and it was amusing watching her interact with the sheep while we fed them. This is one place you can’t miss in New Zealand! The accommodation highlight of our trip - can’t wait to visit again someday!
