Lilla Lyngabo is an off-the -beaten-path of a gem. The little cottage for guests is so cozy & inviting that one night is just too short of a stay. With an absolutely beautiful beach just 3 km away (don’t miss the sunsets!) and the town of Halmstad 10km down the main road, there’s plenty to do. But honestly, you will be hard pressed to stray to far from the tranquility of Lilla Lyngabo. If you are an American, Ulla (your host) can best be described as an approachable and down to earth Martha Stewart (without Snoop Dog). She has impeccable taste and everything she does is to perfection. Whatever you do, do not forgo Ulla’s 5 course meal; it is an experience you will not soon forget.

Located next to a castle building with a spacious garden, Wapnö Gårdshotell is just 15 minutes’ drive from Halmstad. It provides en-suite guest rooms and free WiFi.

It's a farm so it smells, deal with it. Decent view from castle terrace. Evening dinner was god but lacked any options such as vegetarian.

Rustic and charming country idyll with free-roaming animals in the garden. And the breakfast was something really extra. More than just a place to sleep. I would love to go here again.
