The location was very close to Main st and right next to the beach! There was a cute walkway to the beach that was courtesy of the Chatham preservation foundation. It was also very close to the Lighthouse! At low tide, you could see the sand banks!! The inn was very quiet and relaxing, and the sights were absolutely beautiful. We found the price to be very fair considering we were staying in Chatham. The host, Laura, was very very sweet and offered us a complimentary drink for our honeymoon! We didn’t use any of the beach supplies, but it was nice to know how easily accessible they were and how abundant they were! There was also plenty of parking!

I had the pleasure of meeting the owner of this property soon after checking in. It was obvious to me that he enjoys the hospitality business along with the stewardship of The Winstead Inn. The property is meticulously maintained and our bedroom suite was very clean. The inn is beautifully decorated with traditional New England decor that feels fresh and inviting. We and other guests enjoyed sitting in front of the handsome gas fireplace in the common family room while chatting away for hours. My husband and I also enjoyed chasing the fall chill away while sitting in front of our bedroom suite's gas fireplace and watching t.v. We met several guests staying at the inn were repeat customers. We will follow suit and stay here again. Do not hesitate to make a reservation here, you will be glad that you did!

Super clean, one block from the beach and 1/2 mile from the wedding venue that we were in town for. Asked for early check in and it was accommodated.

The grounds were lovely and the interiors lovingly and tastefully decorated. For an old whaling captain’s former home, the management and staff preserved it amazingly! The breakfasts were delicious and they were so gracious about accommodating my gluten-free husband. Would absolutely stay here again!
