Rose Manor Bed & Breakfast

New Orleans

Rose Manor is a charming lakefront property located in New Orleans. Free WiFi access is available throughout the bed and breakfast.

The bed and breakfast is 8.3 km from Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is 14 km away. It is like a living museum😊it is exceptionally clean, close to three excellent restaurants and even a Pizza Hut. Pete and Ruby have travelled extensively so they have many wonderful things to look at . the location is very quiet and easily accessible by transit after you figure it out. One has to get used to streetcars/trolleys and the detour downtown caused by the fire at Hard Rock Cafe but everyone is friendly and helpful and can point you in the right direction. If you can afford it, Uber is the way to go. Pete is a fountain of knowledge on many topics and all of the sites to see or eat at. Their breakfasts are delicious, waffles, French toast, scrambled eggs, toast, fruit, cereal...you feel pampered! the coffee is from Cafe du Monde😘. We met people from Vienna, Scientists from Brazil, “locals” from South Carolina, Boston, Manhattan, Kentucky, and we were from Canada. The world grew smaller and more exciting! Pete and Ruby are very entertains and young at heart so the stay is eventful.

New Orleans Hideaway

Treme, New Orleans

All units at the guest house come with air conditioning, a seating area, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a kitchen, a dining area and a private bathroom with a hairdryer, a shower and free toiletries. Guest rooms will provide guests with a desk and a kettle. We arrived early while the housekeepers were still cleaning and I was so impressed. They pulled out every piece of furniture to sweep, dust and mop and the whole place, including appliances, was like brand new. The house was so beautifully styled and decorated. I can’t list all the many thoughtful extras but some were: an entire carton of water, juice, men’s toiletries, women’s sanitary products, washing pods, body lotion- and it goes on. The location is spot on, it is on the same street as Jackson Square and Cafe Du Monde which are easy walking distance but just far enough back so that it is not hectic at night. Absolutely love this place, highly recommend!

Inn at the Old Jail

Treme, New Orleans

Lock yourself up at the Inn at the Old Jail for a unique vacation getaway. Originally built as a New Orleans police jail and patrol station in 1902, the striking Queen Anne-style Inn combines historic preservation with modern amenities. Fantastic building and brilliant hosts. Liz and Raul were great and looked after us throughout our stay with Liz suggesting places to visit and eat. The location is about half way between City Park and Uptown New Orleans, ideal for us. The renovation of the building is amazing all of the police memorabilia creates a fantastic atmosphere.
