My friend Penny from Spain, my dog Phinegan and I decided to take a couple of days in Savannah. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip.The beds at President;s Quarters were very comfortable and the location was excellent as well. A nice touch was wine and hors d'oeuvres in the evening. Good choice of breakfast included in the price and free offstreet parking. The only thing I didn't particularly like was that our room was on the street floor and occasionally there would be people standing just outside the window holding a conversation. We managed the hop on hop off complete circuit with the dog and had no problems. Caught the Monet to Matisse at the Jepson, Owens Thomas House and Bonaventure Cemetery. It's only a 2 hour drive from our starting point in Fernandina Beach. Will definitely stay at President's Quarter next time.

This bed and breakfast is 1 minutes' walk of boutiques, restaurants, and breweries. The Savannah Hilton Head International Airport is 25.7 km away. It was my first B&B experience and my expectations were exceeded. Sonja and Leslie were amazing hosts from the start. My booking was two days prior to my stay and they communicated very well to ensure they were ready for my arrival. Check in was easy and an orientation was given of the property and my room. I stayed in the Jessica room that had it's own door with a porch to the roadway. I did not have to use the main entrance in which I liked. The room was very clean and very well decorated. There was classical music playing in the background when I entered the room that was a nice touch to the Victorian style home I was staying in. I really liked the lighting and deco of the house. It really brought out the Victorian style of the home. Being by myself and checking in at 6:30pm after a 4hr drive, Leslie ensured that I had plans and recomended a great resturant closeby. Breakfast time was confirmed and I was off for the evening. Breakfast was great on both mornings I was there. Both days different meals were served and their thoughtfulness were shown in the meals they prepared themselves. I sat at the main dining table with the other guests that were there. Masks were worn when in common areas till you sat at the table. Seating were social distanced and Leslie and Sonja wore masks throughout the breakfast service. Information about Savannah were readily available when asked and directions were printed soon after if needed. Location is ideal, safe, parking available, accross the street is the square, farmers market on Saturdays, and easy beautiful walk throughout the historic district towards the river walk. It was indeed a great weekend in Savannah and Catherine Ward House was certainly a great place to stay and gave me the experience I was looking for in Savannah.
