Before we talk about the property, let’s talk about the hosts. Wonderful people, I really appreciate the way the staff treated us, Elz was exceptional, took care of us every moment and one can tell that she did it from the bottom of her heart, it was a blessing having stayed in SomethingElz. Now, the facilities, I can just say, this is a great and peaceful place to be, clean and tidy and close to other great places . We really enjoyed our stay, it was really ‘lekker’ as the owner put it, it was amazing.

After doing business in central Pretoria all day, coming back to this awesome place was really a blessing! The owners and the main host who is always willing to help were so welcoming and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The facilities are always open to guests and they were all clean and relaxing. We were moved to a better room at no costs for personal reasons. The hosts are amazing and it felt like home. It is 100% value for money. You have the option to purchase breakfast and it was so delicious, I thought that they should open a restaurant there permanently haha! I enjoyed staying there so much and it felt like a home away from home. Thank you to the hosts and all the helpers 💕💕💕

Battiss guest house truly is a gem! I cannot express how much we enjoyed our stay here. We had such a good time - with our hosts being the two most lovely human beings on this planet! You would never regret a stay at this guest house. Breakfast is freshly prepared for you with local products and lots of love. Check in was easy. Room was clean and well laid out Shower was nice and spacious, water had a reasonable pressure and hot water readily available. Good strong aircon. fancy in room fan. Induction stove was a novelty. Bed was comfortable.

    Al Vida Luka Luxury Guesthouse in Lukasrand Pretoria offered everything that you can expect of a guesthouse plus a lot more. Clean, comfortable, private and quiet. Irma went out of her way to assist us with a rather difficult situation by cleaning and moving a fridge to her garage for us to use for meat we had to keep cool during our 2 day stay.     This historical house is charming and well maintained, and our hosts were beyond wonderful. My mom had a bad fall (at another venue!), and they made her as comfortable as possible and checked in on her regularly when I was not around. Great location if you need to be near the university, and the suburb is beautiful and quiet. Breakfasts are yum! We were made to feel very welcome and really enjoyed our stay and interactions with our hosts. Will definitely be back!
