Unlike what some others have said, I also found the staff universally polite and friendly because I learned basic Portuguese before coming to their country. Breakfast was varied—not particularly delicious but it had a lot of hot and cold choices. Rooms were quite basic but this seemed appropriate to a historic convent—and the AC was appreciated for sleeping!

The most impressive is the morning coffee break! A different way to serve it that makes us fall in love with it! It was like a picnic every morning, added with beloved and delicious food prepared by their kitchen! Was impressive, so tasty, and drove us to wake up every morning waiting for the new morning coffee break.

This was my first time staying at a hostel and I was hesitant to do it, but the service was incredible and I did not feel much difference compared to hotels. Very clean rooms and restrooms. Staff is super friendly and humble. Breakfast was fresh and very tasty with so many varieties. Location is great for anyone visiting Salvador, Bahia. I met people from all over the world, including Europe, North America, South America. I had an unexpected incident during my travel and the hostel staff including the owner (Olivier) were super helpful and assisted me in every way possible. Definitely coming back if I visit Salvador again.
