They also organize great trekking tours to the jungle. And the location of the guest house is great. Right next to the river. From the terasse you can look down on the river and enjoy the village life.

From the first contact on everything was organized perfectly (transport from and to the airport, the trek, finding a group to treck with etc.). The staff is really nice, you feel like family there. They also invited me for dinner and we talked about many different things, like culture differences. I did a 2 day 1 night treck with Rian (Guide), Sarol (Assistant Guide) and Mawan (Chef). A very good experience with a lot of explanations and fun. The food was also delicious. You can see, that they have a lot of experience.

They have the kindest staff, each and every one of them went out of their way to make the stay special to us! The Kupu Kupu team felt like family, and their service at the guesthouse as well as during the two day jungle trek we did was more than perfect. Rooms are clean and cozy, the view from the guesthouse is beautiful, and the two day trek we did with them is an experience I will never forget! The breakfast is delicious and even the transfers arranged via them were perfect and done by super friendly drivers. Thank you again to the whole team for making our sumatra trip truely wonderful!

The primates (several monkey species and orangutans), butterflies, lizards and birds around the property provide frequent interest. When their isn't great wildlife in your view, the beautiful scenery will make you happy to be there.

We all loved the placed and we will absolutely come back, the stuff was super nice and the activities we did were amazing!!! Our tour guide was very gentle, helping us with everything we need it, the tour to see the orangutans was a dream come true and the hike we did even though was very difficult ( we choose the difficult path) it was so magical no one want it to finish, we decide to choose a tour were we sleep in the jungle for one night and we just wish that we could’ve stay more, there were monkeys everywhere we were so high in the mountains that we can see the clouds near us, a totally mystical experience.
