This beautiful guest house is run by a most lovely man. Bambang was an attentive host, speaks excellent English, and is always willing to help out with whatever you might need. The house has various sitting areas inside and out, a koi pond, and is on a quiet lane just off a main street with shops, restaurants, etc. A huge and delicious Indonesian breakfast is provided (and is different every day!), plus there are free 24 hour snacks and drinks. Also we hired an English speaking guide and driver to take us to our next stay at Borobudur for a very reasonable price. He lives right next door.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. A large house, with 6 guest rooms, two terraces (one where an amazing breakfast is served), on a quiet back street away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet within walking distance of many of the top sites. The staff are friendly, attentive and helpful. The place is spotless, the AC cold and the wi-fi strong. Steps away from the southern arun-arun, where locals congregate for food and socializing in the evening. Highly recommended.

It is out in a rural area well outside the city. Very peaceful and relaxing. Room was super clean and air conditioned with a large bathroom ( no a/c) and mini bar. ( Beer and cokes only) It has a small but good restaurant ( reserve meals in advance) and a lovely garden and pool. Looks out on rice fields with birds and nature all around. It is close.to a mosque and you can definitely hear the call to prayer. It added to the atmosphere for us and they turn down the loudspeaker for the 4am call to prayer!. You can borrow the bikes and ride through the working rice fields leased from the sultan. You certainly get to see authentic rural Javanese life but its not for those who want any kind of nightlife! Beer available but no wine, so bring your own if you want to relax over a glass while getting your authenticity!

This is an amazing place if you want to immerse yourself into local culture. The host family was extremely helpful and provided me with lots of local experiences and ideas. If possible ask the host to help you with a ride to the airport or your next destination. I did and he was more of a local tour than transport. Can’t recommend this family enough.

El ViaVia Guesthouse está situado en Yogyakarta, a 15 minutos en coche de la animada calle comercial Malioboro y del palacio de Yogyakarta. Hot and clean showers, incredibly friendly staff who were always happy to help, clean and comfortable beds in the dorms with a good air conditioner, lovely pool, lovely outdoor space for hanging out in. Overall a really really lovely chilled atmosphere, I wish I could have stayed longer! I’m an early riser and didn’t opt for the included breaky but staff still supplied me with free tea and coffee at any time in the mornings and allowed me to store my fruit in their fridge. I appreciated the water refill station and the knowledge and friendliness of the staff.

Summer Guest House Polda ofrece alojamiento en Seturan, a 5,3 km de Monumento Tugu y a 7,5 km de Centro comercial Mal Malioboro. i love the tent concept to meet another tourist. this is awesome experience.
