The best B&B we stayed in all Sicily. The temple Valley is absolutely breathtaking but he city need so much work in rehab. There were a lot of things closed, because our visit was on Monday.

Nice and clean rooms, great breakfast (not included but absolutely worth it), very good WiFi, place to park the car, very cosy pool area, friendly hosts… Basically everything that you are looking for was great. The ride to the property might be a bit challenging for inexperienced drivers but you can do it. Just don’t rent a huge car (which applies to all of Sicily anyway). However. It all doesn’t really matter. The view from this place is one of the most beautiful that we’ve ever witnessed in any of the hotels we’ve been to anywhere. Jaw dropping. Apart from sleeping, I spent every single minute outside on the terrace and couldn’t believe it. I woke up at 7 just to see it again. I took hundreds of pictures :). I have friends at home asking me to give them the address and contact details because they saw my instagram posts :). You will not regret booking this place, I promise. Oh, and Cefalù was wonderful too :) PS: the sunset… 🥹

Breakfast was great, with various Italian tasty pastries as well as scrambled eggs, vegetables, dairy products, and great coffee. We greatly appreciated the complimentary daily water (still and sparkling) and limoncello, which were made available to all guests staying at the hotel in the common breakfast area. The location is highly advantageous, offering easy access to every major tourist attraction in Ortigia within walking distance. Numerous great restaurant options are also available in the vicinity. Being in such a central location makes the area very lively, especially on the weekends when the bar across the street plays live music outside. Nonetheless, the rooms are well soundproofed, and we didn’t find this in the least bothersome; however, I can understand that it may be judged so by light sleepers or people seeking tranquility. Reaching the place was very easy. The hosts contacted us in advance with helpful instructions about the parking options, which included a public paid parking lot located less than 10 minutes away from the hotel. One note for people with mobility issues: Although the building has an elevator, it can only be accessed after climbing a flight of stairs. The rooms are located on the last floor, and there are a few additional steps to reach them after exiting the elevator. We enjoyed our stay here and found the particularities of lodging in an old building in the heart of the city charming. With its hardwood parquet floors and lofty ceiling, the place had been very tastefully renovated while still preserving its old appeal, making it a cozy base to explore an ancient, monumental city.

Right in the heart of Palermo, Addimora Boutique Suites features rooms with free WiFi. There is a private entrance at the bed and breakfast for the convenience of those who stay. The accommodation provides airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. Addimora is a fourth floor complex of 6 relatively spacious tourist rooms. The rooms, bedroom and bathroom, have been renovated and are modern with high ceilings and electric shuttered skylights, so feel light and airy. There is nothing but positives about the provided facilities; excellent aircon, fridge, safe, very comfortable bed. The bathroom is large, light and airy, with a large shower, bidet and nice towels. There is a guest kitchen and whilst eating in the rooms is not permitted, you can eat a pre-bought salad in the kitchen or on the patio, but you will need to bring your own cutlery. There is a large patio balcony with 6 tables and chairs where you can relax with a sunset drink (a bit hot until the sun goes down.) Breakfast is served on the balcony by some very friendly local ladies between 8.00 and 10.00, and there is a range of options on the menu. Addimora is very conveniently situated, only a short walk from a drop-off stop of the airport shuttle (very comfortable and only 13 Euro per couple compared to 50 Euro for an official taxi), Alfresco restaurants and the Piazza Castelnuovo. So any negatives? All the rooms are at the top of a short flight of wooden stairs so prepare yourself for a short struggle with your luggage. Other than that, a very nice experience, comfortable accommodation, helpful and friendly staff, and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
