The place could be a little hard to find but Miyuki picked us up at the station and it turns out there's an easy 15-minute walk to Suda station that's not on Google maps. It's a semi-rural setting and quite peaceful and was a great base for us for a day at Koyasan. The facilities were very modern and spotless and Miyuki's breakfasts were wonderful. Highly reommended, if the location suits you (as it did us.)

Every night there is opportunity to get to know them. Very welcoming and caring atmosphere. Cleaning every day to maintain consistent clean environment. Respectful and accommodating. Host helped me reserve things and was open to questions.

I could stop at location, location, location because that is what most people look for when making a booking. Guesthouse Tamura is located in a jewel of a location; nearly every main attraction is within a short walk. But we enjoyed Gueshouse Tamura because of the excellent and friendly staff who go over the top to provide a relaxing getaway, truly a 10 out of 10 in all aspects of our stay.

My husband needed medical attention and he rang around to find out what was open on public holiday and then drove him to hospital, translated and drove him home. Very nice traditional Japanese house, conveniently located near the metro that goes to Osaka, Nara and Kyoto. Staff was incredibly kind and even lent me their umbrella when it was raining. The place was clean, the bathroom was spacious, and the futons were very comfortable. I also enjoyed the Japanese traditional breakfast. I would definitely recommend it!
