The fresh air and tranquil surroundings create a soul-cleansing experience that lingers long after your stay. The excellent service adds to the charm, making every moment feel special. At Gammaduwa Bungalow, time seems to stand still, inviting you to cast away your cares and immerse yourself in the natural beauty and serenity of this hidden gem.

Dilini is an amazing host, she recommended us nice spots in Knuckles Forrest Reserve. I would definitely recommend to stay in Matale for more than 1 night and visit Knuckles as much as possible, the nature is really beautiful (although good to have a driver or a car to visit all the spots). Also, the room was very clean with all the needed facilities. Special thank you to Dilini for making a delicious cappuccino during the breakfast!

The location has a history, and the property was only modified as a guest house while keeping the old design. It is unique because of that. The area around the property is very quiet and very green, with many different types of trees/spices. The staff was very friendly, especially the manager (Christo). He contacted us before we arrived to make sure everything was arranged. The food was delicious, and the price was reasonable.

Book this place when you wish to see many things in and around Kandy! The owners went the extra mile to make me super happy. He is a safe driver who showed me many places per day in his comfortable car and she cooked fantastic meals for me with fresh herbs and spices out of their own ‘jungle’. They are a lovely and honest family, the best hosts during my world-travel :-) Also: the place is a gem in the mountains, beautiful decorated and with a clean pool. I felt really at home here.

Strathisla Guest House s nádherným výhledem do přírody nabízí venkovní bazén a gril. Ve všech prostorách je zdarma dostupné Wi-Fi. Strathisla má útulné pokoje s ventilátorem a dřevěnou podlahou. Beautiful old colonial house in an amazing setting, but what was so special was the warmth of the staff. The food was some of the best I had in Sri Lanka. It's a pity that I live on the other side of the world....otherwise we would be frequent visitors at this hotel.

This place is very much frindly and want to tell that, it is very genuine place and peoples ..clean foods and tasty and good service and nice hospitality ..childrens can play and no body will not disturb ..every thing provide on time and very reasonable prices...

This was an unexpected find in Matale. A bit off the beaten path, but an easy walk or trishaw ride to town. Its location was a plus since it was peaceful and serene. The owner helped arrange a guide to Knuckles Forest Reserve. The meals were also delicious and authenticity Sri Lankan. We would definitely stay here again.
