Everything was fantastic: the food, activities, hosts, accommodations, and environment... Ryan and Danny were awesome and very knowledgable hosts and the cooking staff were very talented and friendly. The hiking was unparalleled and the view from our rondavel was breath-taking. We had no reason to leave and immersed ourselves in the experience for several days of hiking, swimming and relaxing. If you enjoy hiking and aspire to hike the Central Drakensberg mountains, this is THE place to stay.

We had a great time here! It is well located to explore the area. We did a day trip to Sani Pass from here. We felt very comfortable in the cottage and slept very well. Judy is an awesome host, she is kind and caring, had great tips for the area, and made us feel so welcome :)

The cottage was perfect – spotless, cozy, and incredibly well-equipped. It truly felt like a home away from home. Jennifer went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, especially for our 10-month-old son. She thoughtfully provided a cot, baby bath, and high chair, and even went out of her way to prepare breakfast for him – such a kind and personal touch. Speaking of breakfast, it was absolutely divine! The location is peaceful, beautiful, and ideal for a relaxing getaway. We would love to stay again and can't recommend this place enough!

A very well kept facility with all holiday necessities readily available. This facility has arguably the best view of Drakensberg. Mergan was a very hospitable host and was readily available to assist make our weekend stay memorable. We will certainly be visiting again.

Berghouse and Cottages is situated in a rural setting, high up in the Northern Drakensberg Hills, 30 km from Bergville. Free WiFi is available in each cottage. The location for the cottages was amazing. The view is breathtaking. Comfy beds. Tasty food. We brought our own Braai materials for one night and also sampled their in house prepared breakfast, all excellent. Braai facilities are great and kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Great activities including swimming in a pool with one of the best vistas you could hope for worldwide. We also enjoyed horseback riding. Only a 25 min drive to Royal Natal Park where is was easy to do an afternoon hike to the Cascades and back. Just an outstanding stay :)
