My stay at Farma Sotira was nothing short of magical. Nestled between vast expanses of greenery and fields that seem to stretch on forever, the location is a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The peaceful atmosphere is remarkable—waking up to the sound of roosters in the morning, something I had forgotten in the midst of city life filled with drills and car horns, was such a refreshing change. It was the perfect reminder of the simple, natural rhythms of life. What truly sets Farma Sotira apart, though, is the warmth and hospitality of the staff. From the moment we arrived, everyone was incredibly kind and ready to assist with anything we needed. Ionida, who manages the place, was not only overseeing everything but also actively involved in daily operations. Her presence was felt everywhere, and it was inspiring to see her dedication to making guests feel at home. One of the most memorable aspects was the wooden houses, where we stayed. Right next to them ran a spring, and the soothing gurgling sound it made was like nature’s own lullaby, adding to the charm of this idyllic setting. The peaceful ambiance combined with the natural beauty of the farm made the experience unforgettable. “Our mountain horse-riding adventure with Tony was an unforgettable experience. Tony, our guide, was fantastic—knowledgeable, attentive, and passionate about ensuring we had a memorable ride. The terrain was challenging yet thrilling, with steep inclines and gentle descents that took the ride to a whole new level. Every twist and turn brought a new view, adding to the sense of adventure. Overall, this experience wasn’t just a horse ride; it was a deep connection with nature and the mountain itself.

Just exceptional experience. Away from the hustle and bustle. The standouts were: the gorgeous view over the river, the beautiful host family, and the food. We ended up extending our stay. Amazing location right by the river. We went swimming a couple of times which was so delightful for a few very hot summer days. There are a couple of different places to go in. RE food, a plentiful and delicious breakfast of omelettes, feta, jam, bread, traditional pancakes, tea & coffee. We only ate at the hotel restaurant for all our meals: it was so convenient, affordable, and the food was scrumptious! Well catered for vegetarians with flexibility in the menu. Loved the homemade raki! RE location, we didn't have a car so it was expensive to get from Permet to Petran (limited taxi options, no bus). The taxi driver originally charged us 2000 Leke one way, for a 10 minute drive. We ran to the thermal baths which was about 7km each way from the property. We were able to walk 15 minutes to the nearby rock climbing crag which was great. The region would be much better suited to having your own vehicle for exploring, although it was generally fine for us as we enjoyed the peace, tranquility, and downtime at Guesthouse Alvi. Eni, Alvi, and their parents were delightful and generous hosts who made us feel so welcome. We would 100% come back to Petran just to stay here. Comfortable beds. Wifi available. Sufficient bathroom facilities. Spacious room. No washing machine that we saw. No aircon which was fine during the day but a little warm overnight, particularly on days where it reached 36⁰C +. It was lovely and cool outside overnight, it just didn't quite make it into our room. The fan and open window helped.

A beautiful villa set in a stunning natural landscape! We rented the entire house and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The swimming pool was a fantastic bonus and we made great use of it. Each morning, the host prepared freshly baked dumplings for breakfast—they were absolutely delicious! There are two restaurants located very close to the property, both serving delicious food at very reasonable prices. I especially recommend trying the lamb and goat dishes—they were excellent!

Everything was great. Dona is a wonderful host, she really cares about her guests and making sure people enjoy their time in Permet and at the campsite. There is a nice common area out front and lots of space to park or pitch a tent. You can rent a tent with them if you don’t have one.
