This was a rare moment on the Camino when I chose a single room to allow space to process the ritual of the Cruz de Ferro. The single room with a balcony was wonderful for this and for some peaceful solitude. The host was proactive and helpful. Also, a very good breakfast.

    Great people, warm & welcoming :). Lots of wonderful little touches, tea and coffee, fab breakfast, little pond in front garden with resident frog, wonderful views of the mountains. Picturesque little village - restaurant round the corner & a few bars. Free use of swimming pool at the end of the village. Overall, a welcome, quality respite after a hot day on the Camino.

    what a nice surprise, what a hidden gem! It´s a dream place for rest and enjoying real nature, in the most beautiful, remote village I have ever seen, in the middle of a breathtaking landscape. It´s a feng-shui house with great vibes and David and Susan are excellent hosts

    A beautiful village where time stands still situated in the mountains with amazing views all around. The house was rustic like a museum, but wonderful, a fantastic experience right on the Camino de Santiago. The host offered breakfast and other homemade daytime snacks for pilgrims.

    Beautiful accomodation in the perfect Mountain village of El Acebo. Suzanne & David went beyond expectations with their hospitality…so thoughtful & kind. We wished we could have stayed longer, gorgeous clear mountain view from our room with comfy beds & hot shower after walking Camino. Doesn’t get any better than this. Loved it!!!
