This charming 300 year old house was such a delight. The lady of the house, Maite, was so incredibly kind and generous and thoughtful. She put out a delicious breakfast each morning with homemade yogurt, fresh fruit, croissant, cereal and a slice of fig tart that she'd baked, the figs being from her tree. It's a short little walk outside St. Jean Pied de Port, but close enough I walked in and out of town twice one day. It's that close. And she's got a lovely garden to sit in and look at the beautiful countryside. Don't pass up this gem.

We loved the welcoming of the hosts Mimi and Pascal, after a 12h drive, Pascal offered us a glass of wine and a beer with an amazing snack so we could enjoy the view and rest on our 1st day of holidays! The house is beautiful and the view to the countryside with all those cheap walking around made us feel so relaxed! In the morning we had a spectacular breakfast with home made sourdough, granola and the most delicious lemon cake made by Mimi, real tea and real coffee... Pascal and Mimi are amazing humans that make this experience of traveling around France even better!

Corrine is a great host. She picked us up from the train station, made us breakfast, and drove us to the pilgrim’s office in the morning. There was a misunderstanding with the kitchen- it is not available to guests with shorter stays, which we did not know and had already bought groceries to cook ourselves dinner. She literally cooked our food for us so that we could use what we purchased and make up for the misunderstanding! Her dog is also very cute and sweet. Thank you so much for the great hospitality!
